Today in History: An "Uneventful Day"

Today was a rather uneventful day in history, though, everyday in history always has a bit of history that can be looked back and observed upon. On this day of August 2nd, I will only mention one small note of history, history of Adolf Hitler because today is the day he became Führer of Germany.

Adolf Hitler is the most hated who lived on earth, which could be controversial, if you compare him and Joesf Stalin. On August 2nd, 1934, Germany's Chancellor and Reichsstatthalter (or Imperial Governor) becomes the Führer, or leader. At a young age,  Hitler longed for to be a painter, though his dreams ended when his work was not very publicly recognized and lived in poverty in Vienna, hours away from his birthplace of Braunau am Inn, Austria. In 1913, he moved to Munich, Germany, where he soon volunteered, as an Austrian citizen, to serve the Bavarian Army. Hitler served in many battles in World War I including the First Battle of Ypres, Battle of Passchendaele, and Battle of Arras, although was wounded in the Battle of Somme. After World War I, he entered into politics, where eventually became Chanellor and Richsstatthalter of Germany on January 30th, 1933. Hitler is famous for being the leader of Germany during World War II, but died when he and his wife commited suicide on April 30th, 1945.
